On June 15, Olivia Grace George was crowned Miss Louisiana 2024 in Monroe, La. Olivia Grace is a student at Louisiana Tech University, studying to become an elementary educator. Coming all the way from being a Texarkana native, she claimed her local title as Miss Louisiana Watermelon Festival in Farmerville, La.
“Together, we can build a Louisiana where every child thrives, communities flourish and our state excels, recognizing that education is key,” George said in her on-stage interview about her community service initiative.
This year, the Miss Louisiana Organization awarded a total of $64,000 in cash scholarships to the capable and intelligent young women who won, including Olivia Grace who earned over $25,000 since competing in the Miss America organization.
In just a couple of weeks after taking the crown, Miss Louisiana joined the Louisiana Propane Dealers for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches, La. and filmed commercials as the unofficial spokesperson for propane.
